I prefer using the term leverage over automation because I’m more interested in helping people do more with less as opposed to simply automating what already exists. I help small teams achieve more by using AI to take on repeatable, judgement heavy work that would otherwise require additional resource.
Traditional automation relies on fixed rules and brittle workflows that are expensive to maintain and quick to break as the business changes. Instead, I design AI driven systems that work towards clear business goals and handle real world unpredictability.
Well designed AI systems increase in value over time.
When an agentic system is built around clear goals and boundaries, improvements in AI capability translate directly into better performance. This means a longer system lifespan and value that compounds as technology improves.
A recent example was an Agentic research assistant for insurance quoting. Given a company name, it automatically identified the correct official website, gathered the required company information, and delivered clean, structured data ready for quoting. The result was faster quotes and more consistent data.
