Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) has been around for years but sadly hasn't gotten the recognition it deserves.

I've only recently myself realised how much effort was put in to the SVG specification and what it's actually capable of.

Not only is SVG vector, and therefore super crisp at all resolutions, all the SVG elements are loaded into the browser DOM which means they're all targetable via CSS and JavaScript.

I plan on working a lot more with SVG in the future.
